Matt Stone, Chef at Oakridge Estate will be taking over the Shōbōsho kitchen on Sunday 25th August.

Matt and his partner Jo Barrett are at the forefront of the zero-waste movement in the Australian dining scene. Their Yarra Valley restaurant Oakridge Estate has been awarded:

Best Regional Restaurant (The Australian)
1 Hat (Good Food Guide 2019)
Top 100 Restaurants in Australia (The Australia Financial review)

The 5-course menu will feature local and ethically farmed and foraged produce, and an optional drink pairing will be offered, featuring a selection of Oakridge Wines.

Shōbōsho is thrilled to be welcoming Clayton Wells of Automata and A1 Canteen fame, as he takes over Shōbōsho on Sunday July 7.

Clayton has gained national attention with Automata being awarded 2 Hats in the prestigious Good Food Guide 2018, 2019, and ranking in the top 20 in the Gourmet Traveller Top 100 Restaurants 2017, 2018, 2019.

His latest project A1 Canteen which opened in 2018 also shares the spotlight, winning Time Out's 'Best New Restaurant' and named the Hottest New Restaurant  in the Weekend Australian - Hot 50 Restaurants, 2018.

We can’t wait to see what he serves up at Shōbōsho.

Shōbōsho is thrilled to host Singapore-based modern Australian restaurant, Cheek By Jowl for two exclusive lunches on January 20, 2019.

Cheek by Jowl, meaning ‘side-by-side’ represents the restaurant’s husband-and-wife team. 
Chef Rishi Naleendra (formerly Tetsuya’s and Yellow by Brent Savage) and General Manager, Manuela Toniolo (formerly Waku Ghin) who, after opening the doors in 2016, achieved Michelin Star status, receiving a coveted star by the Michelin Guide Singapore in 2017 and 2018.

This will be a unique dining experience, not to be missed.
